AGARTALA / MELAGHAR, July 6 (TIWN): Few of the schools in Tripura have organized rally on Shyama Prasad Mukharjee’s birth anniversary.

The programme was conducted by ICAT Dept and in Melaghar a massive programme followed by school students rally and art competition was held at there.

There were various programmes on Mukharjee’s birth anniversary in various places of the state.

Syama Prasad Mukerjee was an Indian politician, barrister and academician, who served as Minister for Industry and Supply in Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's cabinet, later founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which emerged later as BJP.
