AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): 21 Assam Rifles conducted a workshop on health and hygiene and prevention of water borne diseases at Thelakum today in order to spread awareness regarding water borne diseases.

A total of 271 youth, ladies, children and village elders attended the informative lecture.Locals were briefed about causes and preventive measures of Cholera , Hepatitis A, Dengue and Typhoid , which generally spreads in monsoon season.

 The local expressed their gratitude and appreciated the  commitment of Assam Rifles for increasing awareness in the far flung and remote areas of Tripura.
