AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Tripura Medical College day by day losing its work culture with increasing political interference. On Tuesday one BJP MLA sponsored BMS conducted programme has horrified Tripura Medical College, Hospital on the peak duty hours. A source of Tripura Medical College has complained, as at present BJP MLA Dr. Atul Debbarma is the chairman of TMC, there was a felicitation programme organized for him in a grand manner, which was attended by BJP leaders. However, such culture inside the hospital was never experienced earlier. It led massive disturbance inside the hospital due the saffron gathering. Most interestingly when TMC has been claimed as a fully private institution and BJP Govt has no control over it, BJP MLA Ramprasad Paul is sponsoring the whole program and local 'mandal' people are attending the program in the hospital's Biochemistry hall at the pick hour of outpatient timings.

One employee at there said, “Work culture in Tripura Medical college is going down as although this college is under "society" but it’s for namesake. There is no doubt that BJP govt is controlling this college indirectly, but conducting progarmmes for party by hampering the emergency patient service was never experienced earlier. Amid all these patients are the worst sufferers”.

Tripura Medical College & Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital or TMC is a private medical school located in the capital town of Tripura, Agartala, India.

The college operates the hospital known as Dr. B. R.  Since the CPI-M Govt’s time to the current BJP Govt’s time it has been asked whether it’s a private college or a govt college. However, none of the govts accepted TMC as a Govt College at the cost of High Course fees around 40 lakhs.
