72 hours long mobile Internet service’s suspension in Tripura : College admission stopped, ration shops paralyzed

AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): 72 hours long internet service’s suspension has paralyzed Tripura, which surprised the netizens and also young generation who voted for BJP.

In 2017, October 5, BJP Yuva Morcha came in massive protest following the internet suspension by the CPI-M Govt, but within 3 months of the BJP Govt in Tripura such a long internet suspension led chaos in the state.

43 ration shops at Kanchanpur has been paralyzed leading mass suffering, SMS service’s suspension stopped e-payment creating problems for the students and also admission in Colleges has been stopped due to internet suspension.

 The 48 hours long internet suspension since Thursday evening has been continuing in Tripura as on Saturday Govt has added more 24 hours in it.

When Public were expecting the resuming of internet service from the afternoon, state Govt had suspended internet, sms service in Tripura for more 48 hours to stop rumours followed by various murders.

Behind the extension of internet suspension, S Choudhury, Add Secretary of Home Dept said, “Whereas DGP has claimed the law and order of the state has not improved upto the satisfactory level and incidents of attacks on people found in isolated locations by the public suspecting them to be child lifters and still continue”.
