AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): Assam Rifles organised Yoga camps at Agartala, Udaipur, Radhanagar, Khowai and Teliamura to commemorate 4th International World Yoga Day on 21 Jun 18. Yoga is a group of physical, mental & spiritual practices on disciplines to improve powers in a balanced manner to attain self realization. Yoga word is derived from Sanskrit word ‘Yuj’ which means to unite or integrate. It is a way to unite the individual soul into the Supreme Soul. There is a broad variety of Yoga which includes Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Laya Yoga, Juana Yoga etc.
Apart from attending the mass yoga demonstration organised by the state government at Khumulwng Stadium, Jirania, Agartala on 21st Jun 18, Assam Rifles also organised Yoga Camps at various locations along with children of Netaji Kinder Garden School & volunteers of District Disaster Management, Gomati District.
A total of 1735 Children, troops, their families and locals participated in the Yoga Camps and appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in organising Yoga Camps.
