AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): With a shocking update, 1 person was shot by miscreants at capital city Agartala on Sunday.

The incident took place at Chandrapur area, on the Assam-Agartala National Highway.

The injured person has been identified as Debabrata Dasgupta (37), resident of Baldakhal.

 Eyewitnesses said, total 4 persons were  engaged in a verbal clash and following the argument of few seconds Debabrata was shot by one of them. 

3 of them escaped in a bike after shooting him. Right now, Debabrata is admitted in GB hospital in very critical condition.

Huge amounts of cashes were recovered from Debabrata's pocket when he was taken to GB hospital.

East Agartala Police have started investigation.
