AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has taken additional charge as Tripura Governor.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb was present on that accession at Raj Bhawan. High Court Chief Justice Ajay Rastogi administered the oath.
On June 7, Tripathi was given the additional charge of Tripura.
The President of India is pleased to appoint Keshari Nath Tripathi to discharge the functions of the Governor of Tripura, in addition to his own duties, during the absence on leave of Tathagata Roy, Governor of Tripura, it said, without citing reasons for his leave.
Keshari Nath Tripathi is an Indian politician and the present Governor of West Bengal. He took oath as Governor of West Bengal on 24 July 2014 and as Governor of Bihar on 27 November, same year.
