AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): Amid cries of the Political parties, West Dist administration has been continuing the demolition drive on the day 2. On Tuesday morning the demolition drive covered the GB area and at least 3 party offices within 7.30 am were bulldozed. On yesterday the demolition drive at the Motor stand area had hit the political parties led demonstrations, press conferences and gherao of the DM office. But there was no lack of enthusiasm among the govt officials in the demolition drive even today. The bulldozing of party offices led mass gathering at GB area, whereas everyday such drives will be continued till all the party offices made over govt lands are not bulldozed.

West DM Millind Ramteke said, the party offices were served with notices long back. Also press conference and notice via newspapers were given to alter the political parties to shift their offices, but as they gave cold response to the notice, so the demolitions are being taken place. The DM also said, all the illegally built party offices will be demolished soon.

Around 300 party offices were served notices including 99 party offices of CPI-M. A few numbers of party offices also belong to ruling BJP.
