AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): On the occasion of Karl Marx’s 200th birth anniversary, Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, “In any odd situation, CPI-M will be fighting for poor people’s rights and amid attempts of making Communists-free India, we will be Marxists alwaysâ€.
“We were Marxists, We are Marxists & will be Marxists”, said Bijan Dhar to media here.
Bijan Dhar was addressing at CPI-M headquarter at Melarmath after the CPI-M members paid floral tributes to Karl Marx.
“This is 5th May, the day which is known for the birth of a social and economic revolutionary and the father of social science. He gave freedom to the Working class, from the clutches of Capitalists”, he said.

Today in our state, calls have been started to make a “Communist-mukt Tripura” and even outside Tripura the Capitalists are trying to create “Communists Mukt Bharat”, “Communists Mukt World. But such calls actually prove, Karl Marx is alive till day”, Dhar added.
“It doesn’t matter, how many of us are killed, how many CPI-M party offices are demolished”. But we will be Marxists”, Bijan Dhar said.
