Tripura Govt to bring back stranded Stud | AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): In a major relief for stranded students of Tripura in Rajasthan’s Kota due to COVID19 Lockdown period, Govt of Tripura has planned to bring the students back to home shortly. In a press conference, state’s Law Minister Ratanal Nath announced this on Thursday and already Govt is in communication with the Govt of Rajasthan. While briefing to media, Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “Today, Govt of Tripura has sent letter to Kota District Magistrate. Tripura Principal Secretary N.H. Darlong has written to the District Magistrate there, subjected, ‘Movements of students of Tripura from Kota to Tripura' asking Rajasthan Govt to allow Tripura students to come back homeâ€. In the letter it is said, “I like to inform you that Govt of Tripura has decided today that students of Tripura stranded in Kota will bring to state. Govt of Rajasthan may allow Tripura students for their departureâ€. Ratanlal Nath said that on 2nd May, the students most likely to start for the state and guardians will be allowed with them. Tamil Nadu Ambulance Driver tested COVID | AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): Tamil Nadu Ambulence driver tested positive who had transported Tripura people after they were stranded in Tamil Nadu after Medical treatments. Driver visted Tripura on April 27 was tested positive after he left state. It was tested by Govt of Tripura as immediately after total 7 persons came their samples were collected and whereas everyone's report came negative but that driver of Tamil Nadu came positive. In an urgent order Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that now Govt will be more strict against outsiders’ entry. Till now 5 persons have been kept in institutional quarantine but all tested negative. But, for 14 days they will be in institutional quarantine before anything can be said surely. Law Minister Ratanlal Nath also said that the infected person already left Tripura on 28th April after dropping 5 persons in Udaipur via ambulance on 27th April. When samples were tested, today he was found positive. Total 7 persons were in this total journey and 5 from Tripura. 2 were drivers and 3 were from Udaipur and 2 from Baikhora. Everyone’s samples were collected but after the driver left Tripura (as his pass was till 28th April) he was tested positive. Chaos, Protest in Gol Bazar alleging Pol | AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): Just one day after, administration had called the market committees to support the Govt and to work in collaboration with the administration in the Lockdown crisis period, TSR jawans led brutality was alleged and the issues raised up to the local police station and higher authority, erupted massive tension in the market premises. The vendors have called for indefinite period of strike if they do not get justice and action taken against police for that. After police assured neutral investigation, the strike decision was called off but said, if action is not taken, then the sellers will shutdown markets. The incident happened, amid nationwide lockdown and centering the incident mass gathering was observed in Agartala Gol Bazar. The businessmen and few customers raised complaint against TSR jawans for using excessive force with bleeding evidence on their bodies. A customer whose whole body was shaking in fear along with massive injury on his hand, he said, he just came to buy vegetables for his home but was brutally beaten by TSR. Tripura turned first Northeast state in | Agartala, April 29 (TIWN) In a major step to tame the coronavirus, a mobile COVID-19 sample collection kiosk has been designed under the Agartala Smart City project and if successful, more such kiosks would be developed, top officials said on Wednesday.The newly designed mobile kiosk, first in the eastern and north east India, was handed over to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of West Tripura district on Tuesday and it already started collection of samples of the people."The kiosk ensures protection to the sample collecting health worker and prevents wastage of personal protection equipment (PPE). This initiative is a major step by Agartala Smart City project in the fight against Covid-19," Tripura government''s Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar Rakesh said. He said that if the mobile sample collection kiosk achieves the desired goal and if we get a good feedback from the ground level health workers, we would replicate this more and deploy them in other districts and subdivisions."There is no need for patients to come to the hospital for giving sample. Govt of Tripura has appealed for the project and would bring it under functional soon, said Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on Tuesday. Addressing media, Minister Ratanlal Nath said, if 29,000 teachers of Tripura teach 5 students each, then how many students will be benefited, it can be assumed. “We have appealed for the project, which was appreciatedâ€, said Ratanlal Nath after a meeting held with Central Education Ministry and Dept. But social distancing to be must for the project. Already 13 hours of online (recording) classes took place via TV channels with 1 hour per channel is broadcasting in Tripura, the Minister said. Vehicles sanitization project first ever | AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): In a fight against COVID19, Govt of Tripura under SMART City project has launched the first ever spraying-disinfectants project in Tripura aimed to sanitize vehicles which are coming from outside, with chances of bringing virus with it. The project was initiated by Chief Minister Biplab Deb and handled by TIDCL, Smart City project under Urban Development led by Director Sailesh Yadav. On Monday, the sanitization process started in Budhjung Nagar area and vehicles came across it by sanitizing within a span of 10 seconds. The employees said that a layer over the disinfectants were also given, which will prevent from any infection or any damage would cause form the disinfectants. The project managing workers also said that Govt is targeting Akhaura Border post area as the next site. Tripura Police also has started this same process of sanitizing whole body in various offices, area and police stations. Sacked 10323 teachers demand Alternative | AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): Tripura’s terminated 10323 teachers have demanded alternative livelihood by May month or said, they will start protest programme again. The 10323 teachers were recruited in 2009-10 and were terminated in High Court and later Supreme Court’s orders although High Court earlier asked the then Govt to save 10323 teachers’ careers by providing jobs to the petitioners who were deprive of their jobs. But when challenged High Court’s order, Supreme Court also upheld Tripura High Court’s order and termination thus was ordered. In between, before election, the then opposition BJP which now in power had promised to solve 10323 teachers’ crisis permanently which has erupted now protests as teachers were sacked on March 31st under Supreme Court’s order.
