In a press meet, Tripura BJP chaired by State Observer Sunil Deodhar, State President Biplab Deb and Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma raised question, "Before collecting the fund, have you taken permission from the Election Commission ? When State Govt employees are deprived of 7th Pay Commission, each of the Govt Employees are bound to pay Rs. 3000 to the CPI-M which in total comes out as Rs. 45 crores from 1.5 lakhs of State Govt employees", said Himanta Biswa Sarma to media.

Assam BJP leader further said,"If this practice is not stopped, we will lodge an FIR against Bijan Dhar who has given the signature below the coupons". "After we lodge a complaint against CPI-M in Election Commission then they have to answer, whether they have taken it forcefully or not and if not then the employees should not sent for election duties", added Sarma.

However Ex-Congress MLA Sudip Barman was also present in that press conference, Sudip alongwith his father Samir Barman knpown as Manik Sarkar's close pet over 30 years also failed to raise a single complaint against CPI-M's forceful donation taking to EC in past 3 deacdes.
