AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): Keeping the election in front, Tripura Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty reacting over the TET Qualified teachers demands of regular pay scale said that actually the demands of the TET qualified teachers are correct. "They have points and we are not taking the matter negatively. Let's see what can we do", Chakraborty said. Tripura's TET Qualified Teachers have continued their demands of regular pay scale but the state govt has kept them on fixed basis.Tripura's TET-Qualified teachers have raised a serious question before the state govt asking ''We are doing our duty regularly, but why the salary is fixed ?'The TET Qualified teachers in Tripura also came in massive protest demanding regular-pay scales. In front of Gandhi statue at Agartala Circuit house, the teachers staged a mass agitation through silent protest.
In banners teachers displayed their demands writing, "Stop Exploiting Teachers". Also banners were shown writing, "We are doing our duty regularly, but why the salary is fixed ? Some more banners as "Where is minimum wage", "We want rights to live" etc.
"Whereas across the country TET qualifiers are getting regular pay scale, in maximum states with full benefits of 7th pay commission, but in Tripura teachers even after qualified in TET are getting fixed pay basis salaries resulted huge resentment among the qualified teachers", alleged the teachers.
However, Tapan Chakraborty told TIWN that TET qualified teachers demands are valid, which has generated a hope that in the next cabinet they their salaries may be hiked.
