AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M Govt ahead of Assembly Election-2018, has released a memorandum named ' Kotha Chilam, Kothay Achi' (Where we were and Where we are). However in the working details the Govt has counted total 45 years since 1972 including Congress eras. But amidst down in agricultural productions, low GDP and markets running with all other state's imported items, the data says that Agricultural lands have been increased, food productions have also increased. Not only this, it has added industrial lands, even though as per data, Tripura Industry Dept has kept Rose Valley in its industry list. Even NIT College has been included in state govt's developmental works. But most of the parts of the development concerned with building inauguration of schools.
The State Govt data claims that whereas in 1972 there was no such Colleges but now including govt & private Tripura has 2 medical colleges. It has 1 Pharmacy College, Paramedical Institute is 1 Nursing Training College 4, Auxiliary Nursing Institute 3, Fishery College 1 and Veterinary College is 1, Agricultural Institute is 1.
NIT like Central Colleges, has also counted by Tripura Govt.
It also says earlier, Tripura had 76.35 ekar of lands under industrialization and 1181 ekar of industries. Tripura had total 38 Industry Units, whereas now it has 4870 unit.
On the other side, the opposition BJP has alleged that since 1993, the CPI-M Govt has given nothing to Tripura, but has downed the economy. In a statement Opposition BJP's State President said, “What the Chief Minister has given to the state except, 86 % crime rate against women, 67 % BPL card holders people, 8 lakhs of unemployed youths and 10323 teachers jobs termination. Along with these, 12000 fake posts were created to fool the people and even after 20 years of regime, 90 % funds are given by the central Govt”.
