AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): While Brinda Karat, CPI-M National leader claimed that CPI-M is the most favourite party of women, which has successfully worked for women’s welfare, BJP National President Amit Shah said on the same day, “Country’s highest tortured women are in Tripura under the CPI-M Govt here. Among its crime rates 86 % crimes are done upon the mothers and sisters. Everyday 2 rapes are reported from Tripura”.CPI-M national leader Brinda Karat yesterday told women who came to attend CPI-M’s rally that CPI-M is the best party for women.

Karat was addressing at Sonamura in a women led CPI-M’s gathering and claimed that only CPI-M party is women friendly. 

“We understood long back that CPI-M is the only party which works for women’s welfare”, Karat added. However, Brinda Karat didn't mention that Tripura's crime against women's rate is 86 %. 

But Amit Shah said, “Highest numbers of crimes against women if held anywhere in India, its under Tripura and among everyday’s crime list 2 are rapes and the criminals are not unknown people but they are CPI-M cadres. When Govt is their, party is there so no rules and regulations are imposed upon them.

Brinda Karat also said that BJP’s National President Amit Shah is lying since he has come in Tripura today.

“He is saying that Tripura is undergoing pathetic situations, but it’s not true. Tripura is a unique example for peace. It’s a symbol of brotherhood”, said Karat.

On the other side, while addressing at Ambassa, Biplab Deb, BJP State President hit the CPI-M Govt for crime against women. Biplab Deb raising the issue with other issues said, “What the Chief Minister has given to the state except, 86 % crime rate against women, 67 % BPL card holders people, 8 lakhs of unemployed youths and 10323 teachers jobs termination. Along with these, 12000 fake posts were created to fool the people and even after 20 years of regime, 90 % funds are given by the central Govt”.
