AGARTALA, Dec 22 (TIWN): Tripura BJP’s organizational weakness & lack of seasoned leadership forcing Sunil Deodhar’s over-dependence on Congress MLAs on the eve of 2018 Assembly Election. Opportunist Congress MLAs deserted the party and mandate of electorates rather than doing morally right step of resigning MLA seat first and contesting a fresh election under BJP ticket. Instead of highlighting Jishnu Dev Varma, Ram Pada Jamatia, Subol Bhowmik, Ratan Chakraborty BJP’s glamour has now fixed with the 7 MLAs, who have been failed in their last 25 years to win even 15 seats all together. Joining of 6 MLAs were proven benefited even though not for BJP but surely power-bound MLAs like Pranajit Sinha Roy of Udaipur and Bishwabandhu Sen of Dharmanagar.

Town areas in Agartala, Udaipur, Dharmanagar are bounded to opposition, but what the vote banks of BJP at rural and ADC areas ?

BJP’s beginning started with fresh, new waves but slowly the old  faded, defeated faces have gained the top-layering positions in the party.

However, amidst all these, Tripura’s Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath, after joining in BJP has announced that, this time the Assembly Election Battle will be a Battle-of-Mahabharata. But when BJP was celebrating the Congress MLA’s joining in party CPI-M Minister Badal Choudhury said, “BJP claims to come in power. It wants to change Tripura, but the party itself has failed to present a single fit candidate for the upcoming election. The BJPs are dreaming to come in power, but BJP’s Gujarat result itself was a blow for them”. On the other side, Congress has demanded termination of Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath from MLA post.

MLA Sudip Barman also mentioned that 2018 will not only a battle among CPI-M and BJP but it’s against corruption.

Addressing the mass gathering in front of BJP HQ, Assam Minister Himanata Buswa Sarma said, “100 % guarantee that CPI-M will not come in Tripura this time. The way BJP is working, the party’s winning is for sure".

However, only 2 months left for Tripura Assembly Election and within the short period of time, everything will become clear and who wins the election-battle at the end.
