Ratan Lal's joining in BJP today, Assam Minister arrives by Akhaura Checkpost

AGARTALA, Dec 22 (TIWN): Assam BJP Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has arrived here in Tripura through Akhaura Checkpost to attend the joining programme of Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath in BJP.

Himanta Biswa Sarma is an Indian politician who has served as MLA from the Jalukbari constituency in Assam from 2001 till 2015 from Indian National Congress ticket and from May 2016 as Bharatiya Janata Party member. 

Tripura Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath is going to join in BJP today during a great joining-fest has been organized by local BJPs here. 

Till day, even though Ratan Lal was roaming openly with BJP, had voted for Ramnath Kovind in Presidential Election, recently has been seen dancing with BJP youths after Congress was defeated by BJP at there, but Nath didn’t join BJP, neither he accepted that he is a part of BJP. Being asked, Nath always said, ‘I am not BJP’, just love  PM Modi’s visionary governance.

On Nov 17,  MLA Ratan Lal Nath was asked by media whether he is going to join BJP soon or not. Nath said, "I am not bound to BJP, but ofcourse I am bound to PM Modi's vision about making a New-India. Every citizen should contribute in PM Modi's vision. I am with all wise persons, either from Congress or BJP. I am ready to deliver my speeches at CPI-M's rally too", said Nath.

"There were persons like visionary CPI-M leaders as Sukhomoy Sen Gupta, Nripen Chakraborty.... I am with them. If I join a party, media will not get any chance to give a breaking. I will just join", added Nath.

"I am not liable to any party, but I am liable to public's welfare. However, at National  level also my performance is good and so they (Congress) could not terminate me. You can say I am in No Man's Land", Nath added. 

However, with the joining of Ratan Lal Nath BJP MLAs before the election from 6 MLAs to become 7. Earlier, 6 more MLAs joined BJP from Trinamool Party of India. Ratan Lal Nath is known as CPI-M Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s one of the biggest rival, recently gained controversies, popularizes for exposing Manik Sarkar’s in-laws family members nexus with Chit Fund companies.
