UDAIPUR, Dec 11 (TIWN): After chronically Hindu temples had been attacked across Tripura, now attacks have begun in Mosques too. The main blames are coming upon CPI-M as earlier after Loknath temple was damaged and lord Loknath’s head was cut at Sonamura one CPI-M active supporter was arrested. However, attacks upon Hindu temples failed to create unrest among Hindus and Muslims here and as expected now Mosques are being targeted. Such incidents were seen when Communists could observe BJP’s sharing of Minority vote banks and increasing supports by Muslims. One Mosque was attacked in the night at Salgarah which is totally CPI-M dominating area and the Quran was damaged thrown outside the mosque.
Not only this, the Hindu temple attacked in Jamjuri is also a CPI-M dominating area and yesterday another Hindu temple was damaged at Tepania which is again a CPI-M dominating zone.
BJP MLA Pranajit Sinha Roy has visited the spots and asked locals to maintain the peace in both places.
On the other side, two Kali temples have been destroyed in last 2 days at Udaipur following many attacks upon Hindu temples throughout the year, but surprisingly when 25 years of Babri Mosque demolitions like event are majorly broadcasted by CPI-M but their mouthpieces like ‘Daily Deser Katha’ didn’t publish news condemning such increasing attacks upon Hindus. After Saturday one Kali Temple was destroyed at Udaipur Tepania another temple was found vandalized today at Rajdhanagar under Jamjuri Gram Panchayat. The idol of Ma-Kali has been left in pathetic shape, after assaulting the Devi by cutting her hair.
Tension, resentment have gripped the whole area following the incident.Talking to a local senior citizen Subrata Das, he told TIWN, “It’s noway possible that our Mulsim brothers have done it. It’s a mixed area and Hindus and Muslims are living in harmony since decades.Such incidents are increasing ahead of Assembly Election which is quite surprising”.
