AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): With a major relief, 10323 teachers' road blockade was withdrawn by force at Manu (Dhalai Dist) after 24 hrs of a constant blockade. Even though from Govt side, it's trying to appeal that the teachers themselves withdrew the blockade, but in actual force had been applied to them and also teachers were arrested at there. Due to the blockade, the main problems had been faced by the railway passengers at the most. In case of roadway, public just had to take 2 vehicles to pass one road through S K Para of Manu, but in railway from Rajdhani to local train all were paused due to the blockade. The transport blockade had led mass-problems in last 24 hours as both the National Highway and Railway was blocked by 10323 teachers demanding alternative jobs for them.

TIWN two times had visited Agartala Railway Station. In the morning hours there was no assurance whether the Railway service will be resumed soon or not, but in the evening passengers were seen waiting for the service's resume with a sigh of relief.

The 10323 teachers had sat on Railway and National Highway at Dhalai Dist since yesterday afternoon, led mass traffic jam at there and rail service became fully paralyzed. The blockade has been conducted on SK Para of Manu under Dhalai Dist. Teachers said, “Either Govt will give us jobs or we will die, but blockade will not be withdrawn”.

The teachers who will be terminated on Dec 31st, 2017.

In 2014 after some deprived youths filed a case against 2010’s teachers' recruitment and High Court had terminated the teachers following the illegal recruitment which was done, without following any merit.

The teachers’ lives still could  be saved by the CPI-M Govt as High Court had given an open option to the state govt saying that the jobs can be saved if the deprived youths are appointed in their respective posts, but due to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s arrogance the HC's verdict challenged in the Supreme Court by Tripura Govt but again on March 29, 2017 SC in the final hearing kept the HC’s verdict effective and fixed the last date of teachers jobs as Dec 31st, 2017.
