UDAIPUR, Nov 30 (TIWN): Nov 28’s loot-episode in front of Udaipur State Bank was totally fabricated and designed by Amit Patari who complained in R K Pur Police Station that he was kidnapped and looted by miscreants when he was going to deposit Rs. 18 lakhs in the State Bank, given by Ashim Saha, under whom he was working. Total 7 persons have been arrested in this connection and produced before the court. Accordingly court has sent all of them for 5 days police remand.

The arrested youths are : 1) Amit Patari (29), S/O-Rabindra Kumar Patari, resident of Sonamura Chowmuhani (Udaipur), 2) Debojit Chakraborty, S/O-Dilip Chakraborty, resident of Old Hospital road (Udaipur), 3) Dipankar Debnath, S/O-Dulal Debnath, Khilpara-Near Ananda Asram (Udaipur), 4) Sukanta Sarkar (Kutti) (34), S/O-Nepal Ch Sarkar, resident of Rabindra Palli (Belonia), 5) Suman Deb, S/ O- Prantosh Deb, resident of North Jolaibari-near ration shop (Baikhora), 6) Pranay saha, S/O- Ratan Ranjan saha, resident of Ram Thakur Para (Belonia), 7) Gobinda Debnath, S/O-Dinesh Debnath, resident of Netaji Palli (Belonia). 

Amit Patari was working as a manager in a bike-showroom under Ashim Saha, a renowned businessman in Udaipur.  Amit Patari was given Rs. 18 lakhs by his boss Ashim Saha on that day asking for depositing in state bank, but Ashim created a story that robbers looted Rs. 18 lakhs by showing guns him. Amit Patari at first said, as soon as he  was near State Bank four miscreants showing guns, had kidnapped him. Later, he was thrown outside the vehicle at Bagma after tying his legs and hands. Later anyhow Amit reached at Udaipur R K Pur police station and complained about it, but now it has been proven that the whole story was fake. 

Yesterday night DIG Arindam Nath held meeting with Udaipur Police and also interrogated with Amit Patari. During the interrogation it was revealed a big gang was working behind him comprises of 6 more.

In a successive search, South Tripura and Gomati  Dist police arrested all of them from Belonia, Jolai Bari and various other places.

Out of Rs. 18 lakhs, Rs. 13.53 lakhs were recovered.
