UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): One day after Election Commissioner A K Jyoti called for a peaceful, free and fair Assembly Election in 2018, one BJP booth committee member was shot dead in midnight in CPI-M ruled Tripura at Atharobla, Udaipur. BJP Vice President cum Atharobla area’s leader Rampada Jamatia has directly accused CPI-M behind the brutal murder. The BJP activist has been identified as Gahur Hari Molsum (42) resident of Atharobola, had joined BJP leaving CPI-M. The murder took place in the latenight when victim Gahur Hari Molsum was returning his home. Gahur Hari Molsum's body has been sent for postmortem at Gomati Dist Hospital. Already roars of protest have started across Udaipur subdivisions as the opposition BJP is facing such tragic ends of their members not for the first time.
From Chanmohon Tripura to Nishikant Chakma many active BJP workers were killed by CPI-M goons but all the cases have been left without proper investigation.
Talking to TIWN, BJP Vice President Rampada Jamatia, who is also resident and local guardian of Atharobla said, “CPI-M has become mad and too much revengeful seeing the increasing power of BJP at Athabola and trying to destroy the peace by hook and crook. Gahur Hari was a strong BJP activist working in the booth level for Bagma / Atharobla”.
Being asked whether BJP is suspecting any people in this regard, Ramapada Jamatia said that CPI-M is continuously doing various meetings in this area since few days and this activity has been done only by CPI-M”.
Murders have become day to day activities in Tripura, whereas law and order are almost collapsed.
Many times demand raised for presidential rule in state and BJP has been constantly alleging about the deteriorating law and order in state. But Tripura Police’s attempt to hide crimes, aided by CPI-M’s misruling have turned murder incidents as common issues.
