AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): First time the family members of Tripura's slain senior journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik didn’t cry before visitors, who came to share sympathy with them and it was the CPI-M Minister Bhanu Lal Saha, who along with Govt Officials visited their home. Unlike Tripura's first killed Journalist Santanu murder case, Tripura CPI-M could not create any false impact upon senior journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s family members with their fabricated stories and 'comrade sentiments' and their crocodiles tears. Slain journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s mother Putul Rani Datta Bhaumik neither talked, nor gave any expression to see Tripura Minister Bhanu Lal Saha, MP Shankar Prasad Datta and other Govt Officials.
Sudip Datta Bhaumik was one of the bravest journalists in state Tripura, who exposed various crimes and corruption of the CPI-M Govt and against TSR commandant Tapan Debbarma also various news items were written by Bhaumik which led the TSR Officer to kill Sudip Datta Bhaumik.
Like a coward 4 persons had killed an armless innocent journalist inside a room but following every murders CPI-M has been fabricating stories to put the blame upon their opposition parties. But this time, it did not work out with Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s mother. Through expression and gesture the CPI-M leaders understood what their false sympathies will not work here.
However, yesterday after a cabinet meeting, Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha told reporters about the compensations of Rs. 10 lakhs for slain journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s family.
Tripura’s journalists’ murders and Tripura Govt’s Rs. 10 lakhs compensation's tradition has been continued ironically, whereas no govt job has been provided to the family members.
Sudip Datta Bhaumik, who was killed by Tripura State Rifles commandant and other TSR Jawans in the 2nd bn Headquarter had one son and daughter. Before 2 months Tripura’s another journalist Santanu Bhaumik was killed on Sep 20 in a political clash among CPI-M and IPFT but on that case also Rs. 10 lakhs were provided to the family. In none of the cases, CBI inquiry was called by the state govt.
