UDAIPUR, Nov 14 (TIWN): A vendor's license was cancelled by DM Office in Udaipur for selling stamp-papers at high costs.
Allegation raised that in front of the DM Office a vendor was selling stamp-papers at high costs since many years.
With the allegation, Add Dist Magistrate Animesh Das Sarojman has ordered to seize the license of the vendor.
At the same time agent Pralay Roy and Tapan Kumar Dutta will be inquired for taking 3rd times more prices than the actual price of the papers.
A 50 rupees stamp papers have been selling at the cost of Rs. 80, Rs. 100 and sometimes Rs. 150.
Further investigations will be held by the DM Office. Such business became rampant in last 2 / 3 years especially under former DM Sonal Goel's time.
However, local people are happy with the move of the DM Office.
But till day from passport-works to some more Govt's online are done by a nearby shop, looting funds, paralyzing the whole system.
