Children remember Chacha Nehru

AGARTALA, Nov 14 (TIWN): The birth day of Jawaharlal Nehru popularly known as “Children Day” was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Umakanata mini stadium on Tuesday.

Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty along with high Govt officials remained present on the occasion and paid floral tribute to Nehru.

The program was organised by school education department to commemorate the birth anniversary of chacha Nehru.

As a tribute to this great man and his love for the children, his birthday is celebrated all over India as 'children's day'. Most schools have cultural programmes for the day, with the students managing it all. All over the country, various cultural, social, and even corporate, institutions conduct competitions for children. Children's Day is a day for children to engage in fun and frolic. Schools celebrate this day by organizing cultural programmes. Teachers of the school perform songs and dances for their students. Therefore, Children's Day is special. It is a day set aside to remember Pandit Nehru and his love for children.

Children’s Day was celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm. It was a fun-filled day for students.

The program began with music, dance, different games face painting and photo shoot. Various activities were organized and performed by teachers and students as well. The day had the theme of love towards children.

Teachers organize different cultural programs and events for students. Children participated in various activities, such as singing, dancing, painting, drawing, quizzes, storytelling, elocutions, fancy dress, debates, speeches, and so on.

The birthday of Chacha Nehru, a great Indian leader, is celebrated as Children’s Day. He worked great for the well being of children as well as youngsters after the independence of India. He worked so much for the education, progress and welfare of the children of India. He was very affectionate towards children and became famous as Chacha Nehru among them. For the progress and development of the youth of India, he had established various educational institutions such as Indian Institutes of Technology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Indian Institutes of Management.

The childhood is the great moments in the life of everybody which should be necessarily given a right track to become successful in the future as an asset of the country. Without the right track they may miss living a good life. This can be done only by giving a right education, care and way to progress.
