AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): Tripura SSA teachers, who are contributing a loins part of the school education system of Tripura, have become almost a pillar of the Education Dept, but even after long 15-17 yrs of service the SSA were not regularized led repeated protests, hungers strikes by the helpless teachers. But till day Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is not ready to meet with the teachers demands and it has been long 7 years atleast that the CM is escaping from the ground of SSA’s regularization. On the other side, Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty is trying to portray a fictitious story with the help of CPI-M backed TCGEA teachers, which is actually far away from SSA’s welfare and security. SSA Welfare Association Secretary Bastab Debbarma in the evening announced that from Nov-13 the teachers will go for ‘pen down strike’ for an uncertain period of time in demand of their long pending demands.

Bastab Debbarma said, “Indefinite pen down strike will be held from 13th November 2017.We have three demands -1.Regularization 2.PAB salary 2017/18,3.ROP 2017/2.25”.

Amidst teacher crisis, the situation most likely to paralyze the Education system further but the demands of SSAs were never seriously taken by the state govt, led the SSAs to take the decision.

Apart from that SSA teachers are now attacking directly by the ruling party cadres which has generated more doubts about the actual intention of the CPI-M Govt.

The main question is : Where is the problem to regularize the SSA teachers, when others states have regularized the SSAs ???

Allegation also raised after RTA revealed shocking truths about SSA’s salary-looting by the state govt. It was proven that the SSAs were regularized by the Central Govt with State Govt’s request, but inside Tripura, the state State Govt is not announcing about the regularization and looting the salaries of the teachers, by paying them at the contractual basis.

With all these the Pen Down Strike to be launched from Nov 13, which may cause further facelosses for Manik Sarkar led Tripura Govt.
