AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): Under Tripura's Transport Minister Manik Dey, prices of registrations for CNG vehicles are skyrocketing have been generating mass resentment among the drivers who are aspirant to convert their vehicles from petrol to CNG. Such a complain has come against Tripura Transport Dept. by Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangha (BMS) on Thursday, voicing against various misruling and harassment done to the drivers. Whereas for other states, Registration fees for converting vehicles into CNGs from petrol is Rs. 120 but in Tripura for 3 wheeler Rs. 3525 and for 4 wheeler Rs. 4525, which fueling mass anger among the auto drivers. Not only this, complaints about partiality while proving registrations, permits were also alleged by the BMS.

In this regard a deputation was given to the joint secretary of Transport Dept on Wednesday, followed by a massive rally.

BMS Observer of Tripura, Assam Ashim Dutta said, "In case of demurrage  auto rickshaws the permission should be given as fast as possible. Among earlier 59 and now 43 demurrage auto rickshaws some of them have been provided with permits but other rickshaws have not yet, which must be given fast by the Tripura Govt".

Complain was raised about limited number of GNG Stations in Tripura leading massive CNG crisis in state.

However, it has been quite surprising to know the difference of CNG transformational charges taken from the drivers, whereas other states are giving at Rs. 120. The excessive fees are generating  mass resentment among the drivers.

Manik Dey is holding not only paralyzed transport Dept. suffered by traffic jams, daily accidents, increasing deaths and pathetic road conditions fueled by PWD's corruption; but under Manik Dey two more most suffered depts are there : Power Dept, Urban Development Minister which have hiked loadshedding problems in last 5 years and converted Agartala city as Flood City.
