UDAIPUR, Nov 8 (TIWN): Ld. Juvenile Court, Udaipur Gomati, Tripura, has convicted 01 (One) accused person namely Sri Dharaksan Marak (15) S/O Sri Sumpuila Marak of Basan Khala ( Peratia), PS R.K.Pur, under Gomati District.

On 16-05-2017, R.K.Pur Women PS Case No. 2017WRP023 U/S- 376(2)(i) IPC & 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act- 2012, was registered on the basis of written complaint of Sri Bijoy Debbarma S/O Sudhin Debbarma of Ichachara ( Abani Reang Para) PS R.K.Pur under Gomati District against the accused Sri Dharaksan Marak (18) S/O Sri Sumpuila Marak of Basan Khala ( Peratia), PS R.K.Pur,  under Gomati District. To the effectthat the A/P forcibly committed rape upon the daughter of complainant On 15-05-2017 in between 1600 hrs to 1630 hrs, at Ichachara in a Jungle near by the house of the complainant under R.K Pur PS.        

 During investigation on the weigh of evidence I.O of the case arrested the accused and forwarded him to the Ld. Court. On completion of investigation considering evidence charge sheet was filed by W/SI Shakuntala Debbarma, I.O of the case on 12-07-2017, against the Juvenile in –conflict with Law namely Sri Dharaksan Marak; vide R.K.Pur Women PS Charge Sheet No. 36/2017 U/S- 448/376(2)(i) IPC & Section 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012.

 The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the Juvenile accused  person namely Sri Dharaksan Marak is guilty U/S 376(2) (i) IPC and 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act-2012 & sentenced him to pay fine of Rs- 6000/. Considering the accused Juvenile in –conflict with Law, the Ld. Trial Court extended benefit of section 18 of Juvenile Justice Act and instead of sentencing any punishment to the accused; the Ld. Court released him on probation of good conduct in addition to the fine.
