AGARTALA / SONAMURA, Nov 7 (TIWN): Sonamura based cross border smuggling gangs brutal killings of BSF Jawans continue unabatedly. After Dipak Kr Mandal's murder at Sonamura by cattle smugglers, now one more BSF Jawan's unnatural death at Sonamura border has generated panic among the locals and BSF camp there. Right now, media people are not allowed to enter the BOP of South Bhawanipur where the incident took place, nor police is giving any details about the incident. TIWN has recovered an exclusive photo of killed BSF Jawan Charan Dass, resident of Jammu & Kashmir. The incident took place at South Bhabanipur border fencing zone under Sonamura.

Charan Dass was in duty at 6 no-Gate of No-4 outpost at the Babhanipur New Nipaya BOP who was killed at night 2.30 AM but how the incident took place nothing is clear. Jatrapur Police has lodge an FIR against 'unnatural death' of the BSF Jawan.

Initially, the case is almost turning as a blind case with suicide possibilities, but BSF there has been tightlipped about the incident.

The body has been sent for post mortem at Sonamura hospital and nothing can be said before the PM reports in hand.

Charan Dass, a resident of Jammu & Kashmir had his family at there. His brother is in service and Charan had a family. Charan Dass's unnatural death has created mass tension at Sonamura border as before few days Dipak Mandal was killed by smugglers at the same area.

"We are investigating the case, but right now, we are waiting for the post mortem report", Jatrapur Police told TIWN.

Reacting over the increasing smuggling and Dipak Mandal's murder Tripura BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar told TIWN, "The State Govt here has intentionally paralyzed the border fencing work and didn't allow to complete the border fencing especially in places like Sonamura, Boxonagar, CM constituency Dhanpu, where ganja, phensedyl are manufactured, arms. In such illegal manufacturing CPI-M Ministers have direct links and due that reason a recently a BSF's brave officer was killed by cattle smugglers' vehicles".

Another opposition leader Ratan lal Nath in an interview with TIWN on Thursday unfolding the Mamun Mamun Mia episode said, "No proper investigation was done in Mamun Mia's case. If it was done then Sahid would be in jail".

"Only Mamun Mia was convicted and Sahid Chowdhury was saved just by banishing temporary from the Ministry. The direct linking of Sahid Chowdhury with Mamun Mia (who is in Calcutta jail now) was an open fact and Mamun Mia used to roam with Sahid Chowdhury. So, we demanded CBI investigation in that case but due to lack of proper investigation and denial of CBI the nexus couldn't be proved", said Ratan lal Nath to TIWN.
