AGARTALA, Nov 6 (TIWN): Tripura Contractual Teachers Employees Association (TCTEA) leaders held long talks about 'Teacher Crisis' throughout the state when SSA Welfare Association led Hunger Strike was going on at Paradise Chowmuhani from 1st August to 7th August. Instead of supporting the Hunger Strikers who were striving demanding regularization of all SSA teachers regardless any party identity, the TCTEA members said, "We do not support such disturbing protests which will hamper the school children's studies". Whether Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty didn't meet the SSA Teachers who were in hunger strike at the Paradise Chowmuhani, but he meet the HAGABA backed TCTEA members at the Secretariat. But now Tripura Govt is playing a dirty game by using TCTEA teachers by inspiring them to go for work-strike from Nov 11.

The strike was said to be started for uncertain period of time demanding regularization, but SSA Welfare Association members who do not belong to any party but much popular have exposed the TCTEA teachers.

Welfare Association Secretary Bastab Debbrama has exposed the TCTEA showing their (TCTEA's)  actual demands. Surprisingly, through out the demand-list the 'Regularization' demand was missing totally.

Question raises, why the 'Work Strike' then ? Certain probable answers are below :

1. SSA Welfare Association Teachers warned the State Govt to go for massive protest if they are not regularized at the end of November. May be to divert all SSA teachers and to weaken the supports in SSA Welfare Association Teachers' protest this Work-Strike Drama is trying to organize,

2. Tripura Govt ahead of the Election trying to create a teacher crisis situation in clarification of 10323 scam, just like State Govt's notification on 10 allegations' denial. Through the teacher crisis, Tripura CPI-M Govt will be able to prove that even after TETs, there are teacher crisis and how much SC was cruel to Tripura Education Dept,

3. Another possibility is the luxury of being Direct Beneficiaries of the Tripura Govt, a section of teachers are acting on the directions after the benefits.

However, how far the TCTEA called work strike will be succeeded, now it's to be seen.

Bastab Debbarma, Welfare Association Secretary asked the SSA teachers exposing the demand list of the SSAs, "Dear sir/madam, there is no regularization demands in this decisions.Now think and say what is the main demand of our SSA employees, regularization or increase of salary?".
