AGARTALA, Nov 6 (TIWN): CBI’s coming in Tripura, inquiring top leaders as Gautam Das, Bijita Nath but not arresting of any of them doesn’t mean that CBI didn’t find anything, rather they had much evidences which led them to inquiry them. Recently in a press conference BJP leader MLA Sudip Barman was asked by media about CBI’s slow move with Rose Valley scam, but Barman said, ‘CBI has a certain process of investigation and they will do accordingly. They neither bothered about any political pressure nor Central Govt can tell them for investigation. CBI is totally an independent agencyâ€. This talks were held by the opposition MLA after Manik Sarkar’s Govt had denied the Rose Valley allegation through a Govt press release, along with 9 more allegations.
Among the 10 allegation the Rose Valley was the topmost denial. The press release is refusing various allegations against the state govt on 10 issues and among the allegations Rose Valley was on the toplist.
MLA Sudip Barman said, “When Rose Valley came in Tripura Bijita Nath, Manik Sarkar, Tapan Chakraborty and other legislators propagated the company. Not only this the CPI-Ms did as much as possible to create the trust for the company among the public mind”.
The BJP leader Sudip Barman on Saturday has raised question, how the state govt in Tripura declared Rose Valley scam as of Rs. 35 crores, which had extended Rs. 97.84 crores ?
Sarkar’s “intimacy” with Rose Valley group of Agency were alleged, linked various times who not only promoted chit fund but also allowed the thieves to loot the public funds. Barman also raised question, why after 2013 when Sudipta Sen was arrested, Manik Sarkar allowed the chit fund scamsters to escape from state?
CBI has interrogated Minister Bijita Nath for an hour and half at Civil Secretariat in her chamber on July 29. Minister Bijita Nath is the chief accused among the ruling Govt for her active involvement in Rose Valley chit fund scam, who not only allegedly took bribe from the company but also was an agent of it. CBI also interrogated former Deser Katha’s editor cum CPI-M’s spokesperson Gautam Das at the newspaper office, whether maximum questions were centered on Gautam Das’s propaganda about Rose Valley via Deser katha.
