Unfair auto fares looting passengers under CITU's Boss, Transport Minister Manik Dey : TIWN receiving hundreds of complaints, Common people are target of unruliness of CITU auto drivers

AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): The goondaraj of Agartala auto drivers continues to harass the passengers under Transport Minister Manik Dey and hundreds of complaints are hitting the TIWN mail boxes recently regarding misbehavior of the auto drivers increasing day after day.

Neither the auto drivers are having any fare chart with them nor they are bothered to give any explanation to the passengers regarding the unofficial hiking fares. The fares which must b e under 7 rupees or 8 rupees, the customers are bound to give Rs. 10 openly and if the passenger argue unruly behaviours of the driver extends their limitations.

Such complaints however are nothing new, rather Tripura witnessed how a Tripura University girl student was slapped by an auto driver openly in broad day light but nobody came forward to save her.

This is the scenario of Tripura’s law and order which are enrolling by ofcourse the Transport Minister Manik Dey under the shelter of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's blind attitudes towards consumer rights.

Manik Dey, widely known as developed from a bus-conductor and comically known as Tom-Tom Minister by young starts is not only the transport Minister but he represents himself as the CITU leader whenever any programme is held by the CITUs.

In this condition various complaints are coming to TripuraInfoway and ofcourse our readers are facing the situations under the CPI-M regime for sure.

On e reader wrote (name will be confidential), “Though it is a democratic right, as a common man, we cannot highlight any issue or make any protest in public considering the political scenario in our city.

Recent issue regarding self declared fare hike by auto drivers is causing huge harassment. E.g. I use to pay fare from City Center to Kaman Chowmiohani Rs. 7 daily from July 2016 (as i was transferred to this city in July 2016). But recently they are asking for Rs. 10/- i.e. 43% hike and in case of any protest they will harass the passenger like anything”.

This is the scenario of Tripura under the CPi-M Govt. Eventhough 25 years of regime is ruling the state but rights of common people have been snatched due to petty politics and CPI-M's vote banks through various unions as CITU.
