AGARTALA, Oct 30 (TIWN): The Rajdhnai Express which was inaugurated on Oct 29 at Agartala Railway Station, covering 16 stations reached Anand Vihar at 6.45 AM. The total journey as per Anand Vihar Station's schedule took 40 hrs and 15 minutes for the competition of the journey. The maiden journey was participated by Tripura passengers, who have safely reached at Anand Vihar today and remained as the witness of such a historical visit. Rajdhani is Tripura's 9th train after broad gauge connectivity was felicitated the state. As per NFR records, total 5 trains felicitated Tripura in 2016 and in 2017 four more was added with the much awaiting Udaipur-Agartala train service's launching and now Rajdhani has been numbered as the 9th train of Tripura. In 2016's July 31st, first express train Tripura Sundari (14019 / 14020) from Agartala to
Anand Vihar was launched. On Oct 7, 2016 together 4 trains was together launched. They are : (1) 55663/ 55664 : Agartala-Silchar passengers, (2) 55675 / 55676 Agartala-Dharmanagar Passengers, (3) 55777 / 55678 Silchar- Dharmanagar passengers was, (4) (55679 / 55680) Agartala-Darmanagar passengers were served.Thus in 2016 there was 5 trains launched for Tripura.
2017's completed projects : Now in 2017 on 24 January Udaipur was connected with Agartala with 2 trains. The new trains are : (1) 55681 / 55682 : Udaipur-Agartala passengers, 2017, (2)55683 / 55684 Udaipur-Agartala Passengers. With these two on the next day (8th Oct, 2016) Tripura was connected with Sealdah with new train number 15660 / 15659 via Guwahati.
With these 2 trains, now Tripura has received Rajdhani Express bearing number 20501 / 20502 on Saturday which is the 9th train of Tripura.
