AGARTALA, Oct 26 (TIWN): Agartala to Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express to cover 16 stations with a 40 hours journey, an NFR Official said. Tripura already was facilitated with Tripura Sundari express in 2016 which takes 48 hours i.e. total 2 days to reach at Anand Vihar but now with Rajdhani atleast 8 hours will be saved as the journey will take only 40 hours. The NFR Official said, “The 16 stations to include Assam, Bihar and other Northeast Railway stations of Northeast zone. Already a successful trail was given from Agartala to Lumding Railway station”. However, the time table yet to be announced whereas Governor Tathagata Roy, Minister Badal Choudhury, BJP MLA Dilip Das and other dignitaries to remain present in the inauguration ceremony at Agartala railway Station on Oct 28.Earlier, Tripura had only one Express to cover Agartala to Anand Vohar that is Tripura Sundari Express. Tripura Sundari Express is weekly train between Anand Vihar, (Delhi) and Agartala (Tripura), India.

It starts on Thursdays and return journey on Mondays. It has 18stops in 48 hours journey. But now with the Rajdhani’s inauguration the journey to be more smoother by cutting 8 hours from Tripura Sundari Express’s journey.

Tripura now has 2 express trains to reach Delhi : Rajdhani & Tripura Sundari Express.

Only 2 days left when Tripura's railway passengers' dreams to be fulfilled to travel via Rajdhani Express to New Delhi as after the trial run the official inauguration date is Oct 28.

The dream is becoming true under the Present Railway Minister Piyush Goyal's era as the Rajdhani express which had arrived at Agartala Railway Station Oct 13’s  3.30 AM and on last Tuesday as a part of trial run has left for Lumding and after that successful trial now the train is waiting for inauguration on Oct 28.

During Tripura Sundari express's inauguration on July-31st, 2016, the then Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu promised that Tripura to get Rajdhani Express soon and now after 1 year of it Tripura is having Rajdhani in reality.
