AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Tripura PWD Minister Badal Choudhury has asked media to count days for Tripura's first flyover's inauguration which has been termed as a 'Dream Project'. At West Bengal in one night roads are repaired when required and after Mamata Banerjee came in power all roads are cementing, broken roads have been repaired and most of the works go during night hours, so that the traffic remains undisrupted at the day time. Battala, Nagerjala, Drop Gate way's complaints are nothing new but state PWD is least bothered to give an official statement about road repairing work's beginning. Most importantly people are becoming sick to travel over there and the pathetic condition of the road can not be understood if never had a ride on those ways. The deplorable shape of National Highway at there has been damaged further following Thursday's rain leading mass sufferings.

The ongoing flyover work has slowed the traffic movement further tuning a 5 minutes journey into half an hour journey. When Tripura road are suffering from deplorable condition, under PPP model and Mamata Banerjee's Governance West Bengal roads are being repaired overnight.

During day time public walk on the road whether whole night road repairing works take place, but Tripura Govt although opposes PPP model it has no capacity to give its people minimum standard roads due to the lameduck PWD Dept.

Battala-Nagerjala road is the worst one among all the roads of the City. Being located on the national highway the route under flyover project work has remained not better than hell-route. Bumping and jumping amid high accident chances have become the fate of the common people here.

MLA Pabitra Kar during his flyover visit said that if weather permits then the work will be completed before Durga puja. But already 3 / 4 days have gone without rain but not a single work was done. PWD Officials also waiting for the flyover completion so that the below road can be taken cared, but if West Bengal can fix its roads in one night why Tripura PWD can not by deploying extra workers ?

Across the state the roads have turned pathetic but there is no urgency to repair the roads.

Double lane project even though said to be completed  of 60 % but practically not even 30 % work has been progressed. This is leading mass suffering for public with increasing number of accidents. Resentments of public on Battala road has extended beyond limits, but PWD is not taking a single step to sort out the problem.
