AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is allegedly playing hide and seek game with SSA teachers since 7 years after in 2010 the SSA teachers demanded their regularization and started to expose various scams with SSA's salaries under Tripura Finance Dept. Allegation raised that since 2010 the SSA teachers were regularized and Tripura Govt is drawing SSAs' salaries at the regular-scale from the Central Govt but inside the state, the Tripura Govt had hided about regularization which fueled more resentments. But SSA Teachers' Welfare Association Secretary Bastab Debbarma told TIWN that they sought permission to place deputation to the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, but the CM Office informed Bastab Debbarma that CM can not meet them and so to meet the Education Minister.

Bastab Debbarma raised question, "Why  is Chief Minister escaping to meet the SSAs, when he is meeting other Associations' members" ?

Bastab Debbarma posted media, "Chief Minister office informed me that we will give our mass deputation to Education Minister instead of Chief Minister. It is very sorry to say that after 2010 the honourable Chief Minister has no time to meet with only SSA employees but he gave time and meet with others employees associations. What is the reason behind it?"

Earlier in July month of 2017, before SSAs sat in Hunger Strike, the teachers with valid documents SSA teachers disclosed that they have been regularized in 2015 already and that was accepted by the finance minister Bhanulal Saha when central govt asked the state govt to give details about regular paid salaries. In an RIT filed in 2015 Jyoti Pahwa, Under Secretary to the Govt of India said in the No. F. - 7/ 2016-EE.B, "SSA funds for salary is provided for regular and contract teachers as informed by the State".

Thus the teachers who have been fooled by Tripura Govt saying they are contractual, are going for hunger strike demanding notification of their regularization.

The problem of Tripura Govt is it can not ask the centre to regularize them as already state regularized the teachers and now is sanctioning funds from the centre.

Now question raises, What's stopping Tripura Govt to announce about regularizing the SSA teachers publicly ?

Moreover, SSA teachers claimed in the name of irregular jobs, under SSA, RMSA the state govt is cutting the pockets of teachers, every months that can not be done once the teachers are regularized.

Now with CM's denial to meet the SSAs has generated much resentments among the SSAs.
