AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): SSA teachers in Tripura are striving for years demanding their regularization, but since 2010 when the demand of regularization had raised Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is allegedly escaping from the scenario and putting all responsibilities upon the Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty. The SSA teachers who had continued a 7 day long hunger strike demanding regularization, sought permission to place deputation to the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. But the CM Office informed SSA Teachers Welfare Association's Secretary Bastab Debbarma that CM can not meet them and so to meet the Education Minister. Bastab Debbarma raised question, "What is the reason behind Chief Minister's such partial attitude towards SSAs, when he is meeting other Associations' members"
SSA Teacher Bastab Debbarma informed media, "Chief Minister office informed me that we will give our mass deputation to Education Minister instead of Chief Minister. It is very sorry to say that after 2010 the honourable Chief Minister has no time to meet only the SSA employees but he gave time and meet with others employees associations. What is the reason behind it?"
The SSA teachers who are working in a Central Govt's project without any pension scheme for them, has been deprived years after years, due to the deprivation led by Tripura Govt. In the name of SSA teachers every month the state govt is receiving 100 % fund, but when distributing the salaries every month the teachers are paid less than they actually deserve. Question raises, where their money go ? SSA teachers had also exposed a biggest ever scam led by Tripura Communist Govt for looting SSA teachers’ salaries years after years.
A figure out of the vanished amounts from teachers salaries has been released by SSA teachers saying per year looted amount by Tripura Govt are : Rs. 1,32,684 (Primary Teacher, those who completed 5 years), Rs. 44,010 (Primary Teacher, those who Not completed 5 years). In case of Upper primary those who completed 5 years) Tripura Govt looted Rs. 1,42,206, whereas in case of upper primary (Not completed 5 years) are : 50,000/.
But when the SSAs wanted to meet the CM regarding this, Manik Sarkar clearly denied to face the teachers, even though CM has no objection when Education Dept. is looting salaries per month.
