AGARTALA / SONAMURA, Oct 17 (TIWN): Arrested Mamum Mia in BSF Officer attack case has been produced before the Court on Tuesday. Police asked for 10 days police remand for him, but court has sent him for 1 day JC. The next hearing is on tomorrow. Unfortunately, no more accused was arrested till day whether around 25 smugglers by 2 vehicles had attacked the BSF officer. The BSF Officer Dipak Mandal was hit by cattle smugglers at Sonamura near Monarchak power plant area is now admitted in Medica Hospital of Kolkata undergoing deep coma, multiple haemorrage in brain. But SP Sepahijala Sudipta Das said that one person who was the driver of the mafia's vehicle was arrested and total 25 people were there involved to injure the BSF. "For the sake of investigation we will not disclose the accused persons names", said the SP. However, TIWN source confirmed that one of the arrested smugglers is none other than but Mamun Mia, a resident of Sonamura.

On the other side, BSF asked for immediate Border fencing but regarding all these a chaos is going on at Sonamura, TIWN correspondent informed Agartala Office.

‘Atleast 20 to 25 cattle smugglers attacked the Deputy Commandant of BSF Dipak Kumar Mandal’, SP Sudipta Das told TIWN. ‘Around 15 cattle they had been smuggling  via NEEPCO (Monarchak) area. When BSF tried to stop them, they smugglers attacked upon BSF and amidst the attacking hours the BSF commandant was injured seriously’, added SP.

‘The driver has been arrested but for the investigation we will not disclose the names of the accused but hopefully we will arrest all the culprits’, SP said. However, why the names of the arrested man was hide it has generated suspense.

Question raises, what is the problem to disclose the smugglers' names ? In this way the case will be dumped and hardly smugglers can be diminished from there.

A former high official of Sonamura told TIWN (Who was transferred after he started to abolish Ganja productions at Sonamura), "Sonamura is controlled by organizations. Forget border fencing they will not allow to interfere in any issue. One 72 rupees calf-syrup is sold at Bangladesh at Rs. 1200/- and that's their profession".

BSF Deputy Commandant of 145 Btn Dipak Kumar Mandal has been injured seriously at Kalapania area of Sonamura while counterattacking smugglers at there but now fighting with life at Kolkata based Hospital.

TIWN recovered exclusive footage after visiting the spot where Commandant’s blood spots have been bleed the soil. The incident took place at around 2 AM of Sunday night at Kalapania’s Shalkhet area in front of Forest Dept Official. 3 round of shooting was informed by the locals of Kalapania. TIWN visited Kalapania and talked to the locals. One of the locals said, "During the counterattacking hours the BSF Commandant was injured.

We heart dangerous sounds of shooting at night 2 AM, which made all of us afraid". However, proofs of firing were found on Monday at that Smuggling prone area. Kalapnai’s local houses were also hit with the firing but whether the smugglers vehicle has injured him or due to accident the commandant he was injured nothing has been known yet.
