AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): One Year Three months back on July 31st, 2016 the then Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu turned emotional, excited after seeing the mass gathering of Tripura people at Agartala Railway Station. Prabhu clearly said, "I never saw such a crowd like this. The mass gathering says how much Tripura's passengers have been waiting for Express. So, Delhi is no more far away with Tripura Sundari's inauguration". Suresh Prabhu who held the Railway Ministry at Centre for 3 yrs has been successful for Northeast Connectivity development. While inaugurating Tripura Sundari Express, which was the 1st Express chugged on Tripura soil, he said, "This is nothing many Sundaris will come in coming days".

However, proving the Govt's words as true now under new Railway Minister Piyush Goyal Rajdhani has arrived in Tripura on Saturday early morning.

When Tripura on 31st July, 2016 was receiving 1st Express train after 70 yrs of  Independence, it was PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury who raised the topic of Rajdhani Express. Even MP Jharna Das Baidya also said, "Why don't you send a Rajdhani in Tripura from which we have been cut from 70 yrs of independence". Suresh Prabhu in reply said, "Rajdhani has not arrived as nobody demanded for it. Tell me about your demands and for Rajdhani, Tripura will get it soon". 

On that day Prabhu also promised about Agartala-Kolkata Express train which also arrived in time. More 2 express trains were inaugurated within 2016 that means total 4 express trains were inaugurated together.

Thus, only few days left when Tripura's railway passengers' dreams to be fulfilled to travel via Rajdhani Express to New Delhi from Oct-19 (Official Schedule not yet Announced) . The dream is being fulfilled under the Present Railway Minister Piyush Goyal's era as the Rajdhani express has already arrived at Agartala Railway Station on Saturday 3.30 AM. 

However, on Oct 19  (On the day of Diwali) is most likely the train to begin journey for Delhi. The passengers’ service's booking-details will be given soon. But nothing is sure as it may start from Sunday also as nothing has been officially announced by NFR about the schedule.
