AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): The massive price hike of various items have hit the customers ahead of Laxmi Puja-2017.
One buyer while carrying Laxmi idols at home with various food items, vegetables he told TIWN, "Goddess Laxmi is known as the symbol of Wealth, but my pocket is getting empty but Devi Laxmi's shopping is not yet completed. The price hike is that much".
Other buyers also said same about price hike.
Whereas people are happy with fuel prices' down, but at the same time the markets have been heated up with high prices due to Laxmi Puja.
The skyrocketing price of chilli and other items varying place to place. Tomatoes are selling at Rs. 80 per kilo. Bottle gourds are selling at Rs. 60, Radishes are Rs. 20 for small size 4 radishes.
Brinjals are sold at Rs. 60 and pumpkin one small piece is Rs. 40, and lemons are at 10 rupees each.
All idols' selling are starting from Rs. 200 led may customers to leave the market and to wait if price downs till tomorrow.
