Pre-Poll alliance of BJP with IPFT & INPT finalized ; BJP targets 8 NE states with assistance from NEDA ; BJP to throw challenge before CPI-M with Autonomous State Council promise ?

NEW DELHI/AGARTALA, Sept 8 (TIWN): In a major political development BJP is learnt to have finalized pre-poll alliance agreement with the two regional parties namely IPFT and INPT much before the announcement of Assembly Poll date in Tripura. This has been finalized in the high level meeting of North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) held in New Delhi on Wednesday . NEDA leaders met with BJP national president Amit Shah along with BJP Organizing Secretary Ram Madhav and other leaders . The meeting was attended by Assam Minister cum NEDA Convener Himanta Biswa Sharma , Sikkim Chief Minister Paban Chamling and the regional party leaders of Nagaland , Mizoram , Manipur and . In this meeting BJP National President Amit Shah told categorically," Considering the importance of the NE states BJP wants to take all the 8 NE states under its belt and to make it happen NEDA has to play a crucial role . BJP wants to come to the power in all these states as the NE region is crucial for India as far as internal security as it is surrounded by the neighbouring countries ."

And with this purpose BJP national leaders have given the consent that in the Assembly Poll 2018 the party will fight with pre-poll alliance with IPFT and INPT . 

According to a highly placed TIWN it is revealed that for Tripura BJP National President Amit Shah has a specific plan to ensure that the anti-CPI-M votes are not divided . Amit Shah is learnt to have told the stae BJP leaders like Biplab Kumar Deb, Jishnu DevBarman and state BJP Observer Sunil Deodhar ," BJP will just remove the CPI-M from power(Ukharke Phekenge) in 2018 . To ensure this a policy will be framed to have 1:1 fight against the CPI-M . And as such alliance with the indigenous parties  like IPFT and INPT is crucial . "

In this connection it is learnt that a crucial meeting of NEDA will be held in Guwahation September 23rd . In this meeting delegates of INPT and IPFT are likely to be invited . BJP national President Amit Shah has given clear instruction to Himanta Biswa Sharma to finalize the seat sharing agreement with IPFT and INPT leaders . However, it is learnt that BJP has given a condition that both IPFT and INPT will have to remain silent on Twipra Land issue . According to a highly placed sources in BJP it is learnt that the alliance with IPFT and INPT will be formed on the following conditions :-

  • The alliance will only remain confined to the 20 the seats reserved for ST
  • IPFT will contest in 8-9 seats
  • INPT will contest in 2-3 seats
  • In the remaining seats BJP will place its own candidates
  • INPT and IPFT will not raise Twipra Land issue before Assembly
  • BJP will ensure more autonomy for ADC area in its election manifesto 

Meanwhile , BJP national leaders have agreed that in the name of More Autonomy to ADC BJP will form Autonomous State Council in the ADC area if it comes to power with the following agendas on priority basis :-

 

  1. Development of basic amenities like roads, drinking water , electricity , schools
  2. Direct fund transfer from Centre to Autonomous State Council
  3. Loan waiver to farmers living in ADC area
  4. Setting up of govt sponsored English medium schools and colleges
  5. Setting up of modernized hospitals in ADC area

A highly placed sources in BJP told this correspondent ," BJP will do anything to ensure that anti-CPI-M votes among the tribals are not divided . And party leaders are hopeful that with the development on top priority both IPFT and INPT leaders will agree with BJP . And if everything goes well  after Durga Puja(towards mid-October) the Grand Alliance will hold its first Parivartan rally at Agartala in presence of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi . "
