UDAIPUR, Sep 6 (TIWN): One day after Chief Minister Manik Sarkar asked the students, guardians why they are moving towards the private schools Udaipur Gokulpur Colony students have marked the answer by blocking road to protest against no infrastructure in the school.

The blockade that led above 2 hours on the National Highway had paralyzed the traffic movement creating a massive jam at there. Even the ambulance wasn’t find way to pass due to the traffic jam during students protest. While agitating the students alleged that  they have been suffering due to no power connectivity in the school and since more than a week water supply has been cut but no action has been taken to bring a solution.

Multiple times students complained the HM demanding class rooms, fans inside the classes but there is no relief from everyday sufferings of the school children.  Due to lack of class rooms students are sometimes bound to study under trees and the school till day has no boundary wall also. It was on Tuesday that Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on the occasion of teachers day asked guardians not to send their children in private schools.

‘I am surprised to see that day by day guardians are becoming more interested to send their children in private schools rather than govt schools. This is not right’, said Sarkar.

‘I am also surprise that the central govt is moving towards privatization of schools that’s drastically affecting the education quality. However, the Chief Minister failed to understand pathetic conditioned Govt schools didn’t mention even a single line about teacher crisis, lack of infrastructure in Tripura schools.

Govt schools in Tripura are in deplorable shape. From poisonous mid-day-meal to lack of basic infrastructure in everything students suffer in Tripura Govt. schools. CM has no time to visit those poor schools in office hours, but the same Chief Minister when invited by the elite class schools, can spend hours and hours of his valuable time there.

Sarkar blamed the central govt. prefers the privatization of Education just converting the Education into a business and giving in corporate hands. CM’ stand was strongly against Privatization and in support of Govt. school infrastructure upgradation.
