AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN) : As the assembly poll of 2018 approaching nearer CPI-M party has already started gearing up for the popularly called scientific rigging much before the actual poll date is yet to be announced . CPI-M party has always been successful to manipulate the voters list by enrolling fake voters names in the list . And most of the time , baring a few exceptions , opposition parties were not seen to raise complaints against the fake voters in due course of time . And the end result was that the ruling party has been winning seats year after years by means of this scientific rigging . On 24th August 2017 State Election Department published the Draft Voters List consiating of 2505997 voters . Among them 1275369 are male voters and 1230628 are female . In Tripura there are 3170 polling stations .
Thus , it is clear that even if there are 30 fake voters in each polling booth , more than 20 thousand voters names can be enrolled which are absolutely fake . These voters are crucial for CPI-M to register victory in every election.
That a correct voters' list is crucial for any election is proved from the fact that in the year 2013 opposition Congress lost as many as 12 seats with a margin of around 1500 or less votes. Following is the details :-
Constituency Difference in votes from the Left party
------------------- -----------------------------------------------------
1) Ambasa 1055
2) Chawmanu 1495
3) Pabiachhara 1256
4) Pecharthal 1017
5) Kanchanpur 1081
6) Khayerpur 1252
7) Ramnagar 65
8) Takarjala 1217
9) Charilam 1296
10) Sonamura 1526
11) Teliamura 1313
12) Matabari 1310
From the above statistics it is clear that though CPI-M led Left Front won 50 seats in 2013 but it had to face tough fight from the opposition in 12 seats .In 2013 assembly poll CPI-M led Left Front secured around 52% of the total votes casted while the opposition Congress got around 48% votes . It means by margin of only 4% vote share difference CPI-M won with landslides victory of 50 seats in its tally . Moreover , the opposition parties were then divided among themselves . And even within the Congress there was massive lobbyism that paved the way for Left's return to power .
Even this year when the people in general are coming under the umbrella of lotus , but the state BJP leaders are divided among them though in public they are seen holding rallies jointly. A highly placed sources in thestate BJP said ," From booth level and Madal to the state committee there is massive lobbyism . Even the state leaders are encouraging this lobbyism which is damaging the chances of BJP day by day . "
A top level BJP leader(unwilling to reveal his name ) told this correspondent over phone," The problem with BJP is that State President Biplab Kumar Deb and state observer Sunil Deodhar are unwilling to listen to any suggestion given by any other leader . It is unfortunate that a few leaders have already started to behave in such a way as if they are in power . "
Since the publication of draft voters' list 10 days have passed . But BJPs activities with the crucial Summary Revision are yet to be seen . A top level BJP leader made the crucial point saying ," Our leaders are busy with Paper format politics while the CPI-Mi is busy in manipulating the voters' list. Lack of intelligence from the top brass is leading the party towards its defeat though there is massive resentment against CPI-M . " As of now it is observed that BJPs lobbyism will make the road clear for Manik& Co for its 8th time victory .
