AGARTALA , Sep 4 (TIWN) : The incompetency and pure failure in election management of BJP state leaders led by President Biplab Deb and State Observer Sunil Deodhar has kept BJP way behind the ruling party CPI-M even at the initial stage of electoral process . As per instruction of the Election Commission of India , State Election Department published the draft voters list on 24th of August 2017 and accordingly Special Summary Revision too has begun from 25th August and it will continue upto 22nd ofSeptember . But the main opposition party BJP leaders seem to be quite oblivious of this crucial process .

According to a highly placed official in the State Election Department ," Draft Voters list is yet to be handed over to BJP because the list of 3170 Booth Level Agent(BLA)s has not been submitted to the office of the Electoral Registration Officers(EROs) . 

Thus , since 24th August 10days have already passed while BJPs activities regarding the Summary Revision are absolutely zero . This shows the lack of proper election management from the state BJP leaders . 

Over the years is has been alleged that CPI-M's success in back to back elections is purely due to the manipulation it has been doing in voters' list  through the assistance of govt  officials , who are mostly from the families of hardcore CPI-M supporters . Till date many officials,who are holding crucial posts in state administration , are either CPI-M party members or CPI-M leaders' close relatives . It is obvious that these officials will do everything they can during the hearing process to manipulate the voters list in such a way that will give benefit to ruling CPI-M .

• And by their utter failure BJP state leaders are paving the way for CPI-Ms return even in 2018 though there is widespread resentment against CPI-M among the common people  . The way BJP leaders are doing their role , it seems as if they are happy in enjoying travel in luxury cars adorned in colourful attires . The fact that assembly election is won through hard labour on practical ground is completely forgotten by the state BJP top leadership . Failure of submission of BLAs list to EROs in due course of time is considered as a major set back to the party .

Many workers have started to think that BJP leaders may be thinking to give walkover to the ruling CPI-M in theensuing assembly poll . When the BLAs along with party workers are supposed to remain present in Hearing Process BJP leaders are busy in holding meetings and public rallies and giving pictures of such programmes in their social networking accounts for self promotion . The importance of summary revision is absolutely forgotten by the State leaders of BJP .

     Regarding the Summary Revision and Hearing process a top level official in the State Election Department told TIWN an interesting case history . He said ," In the year 2007 when the Photo Electoral Process was going on an official made a door to door visit in the Bishalgarh Assembly Constituency and deleted around 1600 voters name from the voters' list as these persons were not found in the houses mentioned in the enrolled list . All these were fake voters.  Quite naturally CPI-M party lodged a complaint against that official to the Election Commission of India (ECI). On receipt of the complaint ECI sent an official to conduct verification . The ECI official found that the deletion of 1600 names was a correct one . Meanwhile , the state official was transferred from Bishalgarh and soon after his transfer CPI-M again enrolled these 1600 names in the voters' list . End result was that the opposition candidate Samir Ranjan Barman lost to Bhanulal Saha by a margin of around 1600 votes . This incident clearly signifies the importance of proper and sincere work during the Summary Revision . "

But BJP leaders in Tripura , perhaps are unaware of thIs type of manipulation usually done by CPI-M and that too very intelligently and cunningly . On 29th of August BJP  held a meeting on booth level micro management  at Agartala . Even after this meeting BJP is yet to take steps for Summary Revision . At present ruling CPI-M is way ahead of BJP in ths Special Summary Revision . The karyakartas are eagerly waiting with the expectation that the Kumbhakarna like deep slumber of state BJP leaders will break soon.

      But the fact is that at the very initial stage of electoral process ruling CPI-M is way ahead of BJP  .  And due to this utter careless mentality of the state leaders the party's chances in 2018 are blinking day by day.  A frustrated top level BJP leader told TIWN," It is very unfortunate that BLAs names were not enlisted in EROs office at theright time . But the BJP leaders are behaving in such a way that they think that they will come to power by simply doing press meet and holding public rallies on regular basis. "InAssembly poll CPI-M party is a master player with its trained Election Machinery . And to fight against such an organized unit ,  BJP needs to start battle from ground level .Till date it seems that Congress culture of holding Press Conference based politics has been inherited by the top level BJP leaders.

Meanwhile it is learnt that presently massive lobbyism is crippling the state BJP . From booth level tp  state level all are busy with with their own group comprised of a few trusted fellows . A top level BJP leaders told this correspndent ," It is unfortunate that most of the state leaders are still encouraging the lobbyism for their own interests and this is simply damaging the party at the grassroots level . All are busy to become leaders ; no one likes to be a karyakarta . If the situation remains the same , CPI-M is again heading for a comfortable win inspite of massive resentment of the people against the party . "

According to RSS sources it is known that even the BJP leaders , due to some mysterious reasons , are not cooperating with RSS volunteers. This has been reported to the RSS HQ Nagpur. After the Durga Puja a team of RSS brass from Nagpur will come to Tripura to introspect the situation , said a highly placed RSS sources of Tripura unit. RSS volunteers are learnt to have been frustrated with the immaturity among the State BJP leaders . RSS Tripura unit has also informed the BJP HQ about this non-cooperation from BJP laeaders.

As of now it seems that as the crucial assembly poll approaching nearer BJPs chances of coming to the power are fading day by day simply due to the incompetency , lack of intelligence and poor elction management by the state BJP leaders led by Biplab Kumar Deb .
