AGARTALA, August 8 (TIWN): The future seems to be dark for the students who passed out the Madrasas Fazil examinations which are equivalent to the Madhyamik board exams. Even after 2 years, the Higher Education Department of state has failed to find a way out regarding the higher studies of the Madrasa pass outs.

Despite repeated assurances by the then Higher Education Minister, Chief Minister, Minority Minister and present Higher Education Minister Bhanulal Saha, the state government has not taken initiatives for their higher studies leaving the pass out students of 2014 in dilemma.

In a discussion meeting held at Birchandra Central Library, Agartala on June 8, Bhanulal Saha gave assurance to look after the issue, but, 2 months passed, the state government has not taken any decision. The golden era is averting the Madrasa students from taking higher education. The Fazil passed students are not getting opportunity of higher education outside the state too.

Besides, Tripura is not having any Madrasa board. It seems the Higher Education department or the government has no interest in providing them the Kamil course which is equivalent to the college level studies. The current Madrasa education system is limited to Madrasa Alim and Madrasa Fazil.

Candidates who passed the Madrasa Fazil course in 2014 face uncertainty in the traditional academic career as Tripura doesn’t have a Madrasa Kamil course running. However, lack of higher education scopes in the traditional Islamic disciplines has sparked resentment in many corners.

The Muslim ways of education seems to have a poor future as said by Pradesh Congress General Secretary and lawyer Majibur Islam Majumder. He further said that the Left Front ruled government has no intentions in the basic developments of the minorities in the state such as education and health. Even the certificates issued by the state government have no value in the other states.
