AGARTALA, Aug 16 (TIWN): When Northeast State Tripura is being suffered due to the ongoing natural disasters leading with atleast 5 deaths, relief camps sometimes heated by political clashes, a group of youths under the name of “Tripura Hearts†have forwarded their hands, shared sympathy with the flood victims and homeless people.
Reportedly, the members of Tripura Hearts have visited flood affected areas as Pratapgarh, Chanpur Colony and Khoyerpur.
Tripura Hearts was developed from a Facebook based group whereas most of this group members are students.
However, amid financial inability the Tripura Hearts received a tremendous support from various sections of people when they asked for help for this ‘flood campaigning’ held on the Independence Day.
"Tripura Hearts" provided financial assistance to total 34 flood victims families, TIWN reported.
“Those who are severely affected by the flood we have been given Rs. 1000 and those who are less affected Rs 500. Though we know that the amount we have given is too less but we have tried our level best. Lastly, on behalf of Tripura Hearts I want to say a big thanks to all our well wisher for their contribution. I hope in future we will do much better”, one of the members of Tripura Hearts said.
