AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): With a shocking warning, Tripura SSA teachers boldly declared, if the teachers doesn't qualify NCTE guidelines, then the State Govt has to send its officials to jail who had appointed the SSA teachers. In a press note the SSA teachers said, "As per Tapan Chakraborty's claim, the SSA teachers if qualified by NCTE's guidelines, then they will be regularized. So, we are telling him "clearly", to make it "clear" whether his dept didn't follow the laws of NCTE while recruiting the teachers ? If he thinks the authority didn't appointed legally, then the heads of the Education Dept must be sent to jail and the Minister should start a preparation for that". However, in this situation, what Tripura Govt does it's to be seen.
However, after 10,323 Tripura Govt is unready to violate NCTE guidelines, whereas again with 13000 non-teaching posts, Tripura Govt violating laws as per its wish.
Point is : The teachers were recruited by Tripura Govt as per their choice. When the teachers wanted to get higher Education, B.Ed, the Govt had delaying the matter. In this condition, the livelihood of the SSA teachers are under danger.
Earlier, there was a fear in Tripura Govt that if 10,323 teachers go against the Govt then many officials may go in jail. However, with 12000 posts Tripura Govt has weakened that threat and 10323 for now are not revolting against the Govt.
"We deeply believe State Govt was never refused by the Central regarding our regularization. SSA although a Central Project but every months Tripura Govt is grabbing regular basis salaries from the Centre since 2010-11, whereas it's not regularizing the teachers in the state. We have all proofs but Education Minister held his press meet without well preparation", said teachers sitting in hunger strike.
