Is CPI-M in Tripura preparing the ground like 2011 of Bengal ? Manik is worried about his own crown ? Pre-poll violence already started seven months before Assembly Poll

AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN) : Almost seven months still away when the Assembly Poll in Tripura is likely to be held . But pre-poll violence seems to have already started with back to back killing and attack on opposition party workers and leaders are being targeted in as many ways as the ruling party can . Opposition BJP has already placed the demand before the Centre to declare the state as Disturbed Area and this demand has sent CPI-M to a bit back foot . There is no denying of the fact that at present anti-incumbency factor in very high and if BJP can cash on it , it may create by removing the CPI-M from power . And with so much corruption , massive fund looting , break down of law and order and violence against women becoming an everyday affair , CPI-M is now under tremendous threatof losing the power in the state.

Day by day CPI-M party seems to creating similar situations that all witnessed just before the assembly poll in West Bengal 2011 . CPI-M indulging in pre-poll violence, even instigating a section of IPFT to create arson & violence like Bodhjungnagar on Tuesday so that communal divide will help to keep party's votebank intact.

In Tripura the great asset of CPI-M party in keeping its supremacy since 1993 has been the Congress party's inner clash , thanks tothe Barman family sponsored groupism within the Congress . From 1998 CPI-M is ruling here without any challenge from the opposition . But the situation seems to have changed a bit . BJP after the massive victory of Narendra Modi at the Centrein 2014 has been making its foothold really strong in Tripura . And among the indigenous people BJP has established itself as a reliable party .

Meanwhile 2 day long CPI-M state committee meeting ended . Significantly after so many years the ruling party has been forced to call its two day meet in order to combat the opposition party’s rising impact among the common people of the state .

For a party which ruling for more than two decades it is seen as a pressure situation by the political pundits. Even with in the CPI-M there is much debate on the issues of arrogance and corruption among a section of party leaders . However, CPI-M state committee ahead of crucial assembly poll did not spend times in its two day long meeting to discuss such issues , revealed a highly placed TIWN in Melarmath .

The sources also revealed that under pressure from BJP in all corners CPI-M party has been forced to return to seemingly communal politics playing the Muslim card presenting false propaganda of BJPs and RSS hardcore Hinduism . That CPI-M is under pressure is proved from the fact that from 15th of August to 31st August the party will organize state wise campaign to give much needed boost to its workers .

The situation for CPI-M in Tripura has come to such a sorry pass that after Central committee stopped SitaramYechury's nomination for Rajya Sabha from West Bengal mainly due to the influence of Prakash Karat lobby , a section of party leaders in Tripura too want Manik Sarkar to be nominated for the assembly poll in 2018 . The rumor is that even Chief Minister Manik Sarkar voted against Karat lobby following the Bengal line .

Karat lobby in the state committee wants the repeat of Yechury episode in Manik's case again .Instead of Manik the Karat lobby wants a tribal leader to be projected as the CM candidate for assembly poll . Thus, in spur of moment , to avoid direct voting in the CPI-M Central committee state unit wants to keep this sensitive issue reserve , at least for the time being .

Interestingly , the state secretary of CPI-M BijanDhar did not mention anything about the political violence now going in different parts of the state . During the press meet most of the time was spent in blaming BJP and RSS and on the old issue of communal politics of BJP . But many say," CPI-M might have realized that after so many years of Manik Sarkar's supremacy CPI-M is facing the pressure for the first time . "
