AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): Much awaited Presidential Election-2017 was held at Civil Secretariat on Monday.
All the all MLAs have casted their votes for their favorite candidates, whereas 3 MPs had given their votes at New Delhi.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also from Dhanpur constituency has casted his vote, for 100 % surely will be for Congress candidate Meira Kumar.
However 6 MLAs who were former Congress MLAs led by Sudip Roy Barman voted for NDA candidate Ramnath Kovind, youth leader Viki Prasad told media via SMS.
Meira Kumar who is an Indian politician and five-time Member of Parliament who is the United Progressive Alliance nominee for President of India in the 2017 election.
Ram Nath Kovind is the NDA candidate for President of India in the 2017 election. Kovind is a Dalit leader and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017
