AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar led CPI-M Govt's various recruitment scams nullified by High Court & Supreme Court but upcoming 2018 Assembly election forcing Manik Govt to roll out one after another gimmicks to secure votebanks. Pathetic situation is being faced by the unemployed, discontinued state govt employees; RMSA discontinued staffs placed deputation meeting the Education Director M K Nath complaining whereas few of the discontinued RMSA staffs are allowed to apply for the Programmes Asst posts, but others' applications have been rejected. As per the allegation of 156 RMSA staffs, they lost their jobs in 2015,with a notice of their termination was issued on October 31 by Director, School Education, Dr. P . Goyal. Since then the terminated staffs had been requesting the state govt to reappoint them or provide them new jobs. On Friday the RMSA teachers met the Education Director and complained about the issue going on across the state. Director M K Nath however said, he will look into the issue.

Till day Govt has failed to do so, but when 13000 new non-teaching posts were created by the state govt, although  Education Offices of West, Dhalai, Gomati, Khowai although accepted their application, but in other Districts as South & Sepahijala the applications are denied to accept those who worked under RMSA non-teaching posts. This dissimilar actions in a same state, has created a much resentment among the terminated teachers.

Tripura Govt has released offer for 12,000 Education Dept Employees posts in 4 categories to save 10,323 teachers, that generated much resentment among the 7 lakhs of unemployed youths in Tripura. Reportedly, as for 1) Academic Councilor 1200 posts, 2) Student Councilor 3,400, 3) School Library Assistant 1,500, 4) School Assistant 5,600 posts & 1000 others under Social Welfare Dept.

The 1,500 assistant librarians posts created by Tripura Govt recently asked a 5 years teaching experience whereas no degree on Library science was required. But what surprising matter is that whereas a person can sit in interview for Asst Librarian posts, with 5 years of experience of teaching, but a person already having a library science degree is not allowed to sit in the interview.

However, in case of deprived RMSA teachers, Asst posts have been opened for apply but in Sepahijala & South Dist the rules are different. In this condition the deprived RMSA staffs demand equal right for all discontinued staffs, so that all 156 discontinued RMSA staffs may apply for the post.
