AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): With a major jolt for Tripura Pradesh Congress, CPI-M a major part of these parties joined to join BJP ahead of Assembly election-2018.

In a press meet, earlier the Congress members told media that atleast 500 Congress members led by former AMC Councilor Tushar Kanti Bhowmik will join BJP and thus on Sunday they joined BJP.

However, in the joining programme total 1728 Leaders, Activists, Supporters  from CPI-M, TMC, Congress had joined BJP at Dashmi Ghat,Agartala.

Addressing the gathering at Joynagar, Sunil Deodhar said, ‘Nothing is good in Tripura. Roads are pathetic, city goes under water with  a few splashes of rain and if you go to hospital, from the entrance patients are found lying on the floor’.

The leader further criticized Manik Sarkar for his active involvement in promoting multicrore’s chit fund company Rose Valley.
