AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Under speculation and tremendous pressure from a section of media CPI-M Spokesman Gautam Das has ultimately accepted in writing that CBI officials interrogated him in Rose Valley chit fund case inside Daily Desher Katha Office on 16th of June. This was informed through a statement issued by Gautam Das and accordingly this statement has also been published in CPI-M Tripura official Facebook page. Through this statement Gautam Das categorically said ," On 15th June an Inspector of CBI Kolkata Office made contact with me in my mobile and wanted to know when and where I shall be available to have interaction with CBI related to Rose Valley case . I told them to come to Daily Desher Katha Office on 16th June . " Gautam Das’s association with Rose Valley’s arrested owner Goutam Kundu, arrested Director Ashok Saha helped Rose Valley’s looting of Rs 875 crores from Tripura public. In return Rose Valley donated crores and constructed massive mansion like party offices across Tripura.

CPI-M spokesman Goutam Das said  ," On 16th June an Addl SP and an Inspector of CBI Kolkata office met me inside Daily Desher Katha Office and asked a few questions regarding Rose Valley case. I replied to them . During this time my lawyer was with me. After 1 hour long interrogation CBI Inspector gave me written statement saying that I fully cooperated with CBI. "

However, Gautam Das said that in news published in a Bengali daily namely SyandanPatrika it is said that CBI interogated Gautam Das twice and this news was a false one , said Gautam Das. Interestingly Gautam Das could not reveal the written statement of CBI in public, as mentioned by him.

Das said that he has no connection with Rose Valley or any other ChitFund company. He categorically said that the headline of SyandanPatrika(regarding this particular news )was defaming . He said that neither nor his lawyer had informed any one about CBI interrogation to him .

Here arises a few interesting and critical questions :-

1. Why is Gautam Das furious against SyandanPatrika though it had published the authenticated news of CBI interrogation to him ?
2. Is Gautam trying to put pressure on SyandanPatrika so that it does publish any news on this sensitive issue in future ?
3. How can Gautam Das deny of CBI interrogation twice though he himself said that CBI officials interrogated him for an hour ?
4. Is Gautam and Co trying to make PratibadiKalam like situation with SyandanPatrikatoo ?
5. If Syandan did not say anything like Gautam Das will be arrested or he is under serious question mark of CBI , how can CPI-M spokesman can claim SyandanPatrika is trying to defame him as well as his party ?
6. By issuing this statement has Gautam Das aggravated the situation even further for his  party and the so called honest CM Manik Sarkar ?

It is really very unfortunate that CPI-M party has practically insulted the value of Secretariat , where Minister Bijita Nath was interrogated as well as its party's Daily Desher Katha's headquarter by inviting CBI officials to interogate Gautam Das, Editor of Daily Desher Katha cum CPI-M state Spokesman .

But the fact isthat Gautam Das's statement proves the truth of the prediction made by  TRIPURAINFOWAY.com . Recently TIWN published consecutive news stating that CBI will catch big fishes in Tripura including Ministers, tainted officials and influential political leaders.
